Away from Me is a large budget film with high hopes that ultimately did not pan out. Our goal was to make Act III (this final product) of the feature film and use the material are our sizzle reel for the greater project. Concentrated around a highly emotional performance, the feature film version would intercut non-linearly from the now and then. Jon Carr is a fierce cinematography with excellent instincts.
We learned a lot; the dos and don’ts — and I am still proud of the hard work the crew and myself put into making the featurette we did have the resources to create.
